Pilgrimage 1
Sanctuary of Mary Queen of the Apostles
Via Antonino, Rome
19 Mai 2018
The church building is located on the ground where bombs fell and exploded leaving no human casualties among the Paulines.
It was built as a thanksgiving to honor Mary for protecting all members of the Pauline Family during WWII.
The tombs of B. J. Alberione and V. Thecla Merlo are kept in this building.
Alberione Museum
Sanctuary of Mary Queen of the Apostles
Via Antonino, Rome
19 Mai 2018
This was Alberione office, room, and chapel. During the last months of his life, due to his illness, the Primo Maestro was forced to take meals directly in the bedroom, which became “a sanctuary to offer himself to the entire Pauline Family”. In this room, His Holiness Paul VI visited Don Alberione, who died on 26 November 1971 at 17.00. The Pope put his precious autograph on the register.
Alberione was battling at this moment under a life-support machine. A project has been underway to convert this to a proper museum.
Pilgrimage 2

Rome

Pilgrimage 3
Monastery of the Tre Fontane (Three Fountains)
Rome
20 Mai 2018
Now a monastery, it consists of three churches built over historical places for Saint Paul's martyrdom:
The court where he was judged, St Vicent and Anastanius Church.
The prison: Santa Maria Scala Coeli Church (Holy Mary stairs to heaven).
The decapitation: St Paul of Three Fountains Church.
Tradition recalls that when beheaded, Saint Paul's head bounced three times, and water gushed forth on each of the three spots where his head touched down. Hence the name Three Fountains.
